Polly Ho Visit   05 August 2005

Held at 7.30pm Burwood-Mt Waverly Church of Christ 280 Highbury Rd, Mt. Waverley 3149 Melways Map 61 D8 (Parking off Jubilee St)

Polly Ho used to be a certified high school teacher in Hong Kong. In 1990-91, she joined OMF and served two years at Chefoo School in Japan. Chefoo was a boarding school for OMF MKs/TCKs (missionary kids/ third culture kids).

In 1992-94, she furthered her studies at Wheaton College in the USA with the focus of her study being TCKs development and education. Polly returned to Hong Kong in 1995 and from then onwards she served as the Coordinator for Asian MKs in OMF. She worked closely with TCKs and overseas international schools on internationalising school curricula and at the same time mobilised Asian mission agencies and churches to care for Asian TCKs. In 2003, she moved to the OMF Ministries in Asia field to care for and provide educational support for around 70 TCKs in China.

Polly spoke to us about the value of being MK's. We were able to speak openly about our past experiences and be grateful to God for who we are. We are grateful to Polly for her time and her care for MK's
